TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Wiltshire that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children and young people with a range of additional needs. The school takes a caring, child-centred approach, supporting students to develop their confidence, independence and essential life skills.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored SEND support, encourage positive engagement with learning and maintain a safe and supportive environment where students can reach their full potential.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience within a school, SEND or similar educational setting is desirable
• A caring, patient and compassionate approach to supporting learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
• A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach to working as part of a team
