The school places a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence, helping pupils feel valued and supported throughout their education.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide classroom and one-to-one support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs, promoting positive behaviour, supporting emotional regulation and helping pupils engage successfully with their learning.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly SEMH needs

• Experience supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs

• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, caring and resilient approach to supporting pupils

• A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
