TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist community school in Bath that supports children and young people aged 4 to 19 within a nurturing and inclusive environment. The school provides pre-formal, semi-formal and formal learning pathways alongside specialist therapeutic facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool and dedicated family and behavioural support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant on a full-time temporary basis from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils across a range of ages and abilities, working closely with teaching staff to provide tailored classroom support, promote independence and help pupils access their learning and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or care setting
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A patient, caring and flexible approach to supporting pupils
• A proactive attitude and genuine passion for helping children and young people achieve their potential
