Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive SEND school in Somerset that provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people with additional needs. The school adopts a child-centred approach, ensuring each pupil is valued as an individual and supported to develop both academically and personally.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside teachers and the wider support team to provide classroom and 1:1 support, encouraging engagement with learning, developing independence and helping pupils build the confidence they need to reach their full potential.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable
Experience working within an education or care setting is advantageous
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
A caring, patient and encouraging approach
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
A genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with additional needs
