TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school in Street supporting students aged 11 to 19 with a wide range of additional learning needs. Guided by its Learning for Life ethos, the school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where young people are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and the skills they need for education and beyond.

The school is looking to appoint a Qualified Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from September, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right Qualified Teacher. The successful Qualified Teacher will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs, working alongside experienced support staff to promote academic progress, confidence and positive outcomes.

The successful Qualified Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching within a UK school setting
• SEND experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting students with additional learning needs
