TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Yeovil that supports pupils from Year 1 to Year 8 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment with a personalised approach to learning, helping pupils develop their confidence, resilience and independence.

The school is looking to take on a full-time SEND Teacher on a temporary basis from September. The successful SEND Teacher will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, implement positive behaviour strategies and work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider pastoral team to support pupils' academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS / Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching within a SEND or SEMH setting is desirable
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
