Science Teacher – SEMH ARP

We are seeking a passionate, resilient and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive 11–16 comprehensive school in Tottenham.
The school is opening a brand-new Social, Emotional and Mental Health Additional Resource Provision (SEMH ARP) this September, based at a separate, dedicated site in Haringey. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop an exceptional provision where every young person is supported to thrive.
The role will be primarily based within the ARP, supporting students in Years 7–11 who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for SEMH needs. Opening with a small initial cohort, the provision will offer a tailored and flexible curriculum built around each student’s individual needs, strengths and interests.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons within a nurturing, structured and holistic learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting students academically, socially and emotionally, helping them build confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified Science Teacher or has strong Science teaching experience
- Has experience supporting students with SEMH needs, SEND or additional barriers to learning
- Can build positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Is calm, adaptable and resilient
- Is committed to inclusive education and personalised learning
- Can contribute to the development of a new and ambitious provision
