A secondary alternative provision in Bideford is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The setting supports pupils who may have experienced trauma, anxiety or barriers to mainstream education. Behaviour management skills and a firm but fair approach are essential.
Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation
Assisting in small-group academic sessions
Implementing behaviour support plans
Building positive, professional relationships
Requirements:
Experience in SEMH, youth work, or behaviour support
Strong de-escalation skills
Confident, consistent and calm manner
School-based experience preferred
Pay: £88.99 – £95 per day
