TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist education provision in Swindon that supports children and young people with additional needs and complex social circumstances who are unable to access mainstream education. The setting provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where personalised learning, therapeutic support and strong relationships enable pupils to develop the confidence and skills they need to achieve positive outcomes.

We are looking to appoint a full-time SEND LSA on a long-term basis from September 2026. The successful SEND LSA will work closely with pupils through individualised learning programmes, providing classroom and one-to-one support, encouraging engagement with learning, assisting with assessments and helping to remove barriers to education while promoting independence and preparing pupils for successful future placements.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• Proven experience supporting children and young people with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs is essential.
• Previous experience working within a school, alternative provision or similar educational setting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to adapt learning support to meet individual pupil needs.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach to supporting children with complex needs.
• A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
